About UsAbout Absolute-Minds
Absolute Minds provides enrichment programmes for children island wide. Our mission is to provide high quality enrichment programmes for children in the premise of their schools.
Founded in 2007, by English teacher Pearlyn and stage actress Moon and a team of curriculum specialists and drama enthusiasts, our programme focuses on character building through the arts from as early as 18 months old up to the age of 12.
Pearlyn Kim Dennie
Pearlyn studied English and Drama throughout school and has always been very interested to merge the performing arts with education. She is actively involved in educational development projects, particularly those aimed to improve children’s linguistic skills.
While teaching English, Pearlyn used drama to encourage children to participate in classroom activities and to deepen their understanding of the language. She recognises that drama allows students to communicate with teachers and peers in new ways.
Her goal is to have educators explore the power of drama in education.
Moon has always been passionate about theatre and performing arts. After graduation, she went on to perform in children’s theatre across Europe. During a voluntary trip to Yunnan, China, she worked with underprivileged children. In spite of differences in language and culture, Moon realised how drama connects her with the children. She believes that every child is born to shine regardless of their background and origins.
She has taught Speech and Drama and Creative Movement to children from preschool to secondary school and fully appreciates the benefits that drama has to offer including help with public speaking, debating, performing and day-to-day communication.
She oversees the development of Absolute Minds Drama in Education programme for Primary Schools in Singapore.
